Education Department Update

Leah Asher, Education Administrator

The Education team have been working very hard over the last several months on a number of initiatives for the school and our members.

Our Summer Work Experience program will run from July 3rd to August 16th. If you are interested in participating, please contact either Leah or Penny. Interviews with NENAS will be conducted on June 27th at the school.

The Indigenous Student Mini University Camp will be held from July 8-12, 2024, at the University of Victoria. The application deadline is June 10th at 9am. This is a fantastic opportunity for Indigenous students to engage in university-level learning and campus life.

There will be a planning meeting for the school family trip on Thursday, June 6th, from 5 – 6pm. The meeting will take place at the school and will also be available via Zoom. A link will be sent out to all who have submitted their interest on being on the committee.

We are excited to announce a Wellness through Education series featuring Equine Therapy with Tammy Thielman. This event will take place on June 11-12 in Salmon Arm. This is a unique opportunity to explore the benefits of equine therapy for mental health and well-being. We encourage all students and families to take advantage of these opportunities.

For more information or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
