Indigenous Economic Development Conference

Our Indigenous Economic Development Conference will be held on March 7 – 9, 2023 at the River Rock Resort in Richmond, BC.

New Funding Available! Youth Participation Program: Indigenous Pathways to Business.
If you are attending the AFOA BC Indigenous Economic Development Conference and are a parent, grandparent, uncle or aunt of a First Nation Youth (aged 14-18 in Grade 9-12) we have funding available for you to bring along an Indigenous youth from your community (funding and seats are limited, there will be an application process).

The Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC), through the Pathways program are encouraging First Nation Youths who are considering careers in business, economic development, entrepreneurship, or related fields to attend the conference with you! CPABC has funding to support their participation as delegates at the conference.

The cost of bringing your youth to the conference will be covered (travel, accommodations, registration, swag bag, and a youth event on Wednesday night). To be eligible for the funding the guardian must be registered for the conference and ensure their youth’s attendance and participation as a delegate.
Please download the application HERE and submit with your registration, below.
