• Inspect and examines vehicle and equipment
• Service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and equipment and perform other routines
  maintenance work
• Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations
• Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced operators, or apprentice maintenance personnel
• Troubleshoot to determine the cause and effect of mechanical failures
• Assist in the shop/yard maintenance and upkeep
• Participate and assist in an active HSE culture

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification is required; as a journeyman, it is anticipated you will have a basic set of trades tools
• Experience as an HD Journeyman in a shop environment an asset
• Heavy equipment technician or operator training is an asset
• Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
• Physically fit – heavy lifting required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Class 5 driver’s license
• H2S, First Aid

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must live near the base of employment or be willing to relocate
