Lands Manager
The Lands Manager, under the direction of the Director of Lands & Resources, will primarily be responsible to ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. This position will provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. This role will also ensure the effectiveness of employees through strategic hiring, assignment of duties, discipline, and dismissal. The Lands Manager must possess a degree or an advanced degree in a field relating to the energy and natural resources industry and five years of experience in a management role in the energy and natural resources field.

Requirements
- Degree or an advanced degree in a field relating to the energy and natural resources industry
- Five years of experience in a management role in the energy and natural resources field
- Certifications or licenses appropriate to the energy and natural resources industry
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, and policies
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals
- Demonstrated project management skills
Job Duties
- Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development
- Ensure the effectiveness of employees through strategic hiring, assignment of duties, discipline, and dismissal
- Oversee project management to ensure effective milestone planning and timely completion of deliverables
- Ensure that all staff under your direction are equipped with and are using the proper personal protective equipment
- Participate in departmental planning activities
- Ensure employees have clear goals and are aware of expectations
- Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly
- Analyze departmental operations and identify areas requiring improvement
- Plan the department’s workload and flow
- Ensure that employees adhere to all health and safety regulations
- Ensure that safe work practices are being followed
- Oversee and assist with environmental audits ensuring they are continuously completed in order to minimize undesirable environmental effects of new or expanded operations
- Oversee waste management initiatives and other related environmental protection procedures
- Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback, coaching, and formal evaluations
