November Economic Department Update

I am pleased to share news about our recent efforts to grow opportunities for our community through the Economic Development Department. Our main focus is to foster partnerships and projects that create jobs, build skills, and promote financial independence for our members.

We’re actively working to secure investments that align with our long-term goals for sustainable growth, building relationships with local businesses, government partners, and experts to bring additional resources into our community. Each partnership and project is chosen to ensure it benefits our members and aligns with our values.

Our commitment to the community’s needs drives us to connect regularly with other departments and reach out to members for feedback. We want everyone to feel included in these changes and have a voice in decisions shaping our future. Additionally, we’re focused on developing training programs to support skill-building and career growth, empowering members to take on new opportunities as they arise.

October marked a great success with our PRFN World Café event, where members connected with various contractors to learn about current projects and future opportunities. For those unable to attend, a recording is available, showcasing each contractor’s presentation and details on how members can connect with them.

Looking forward, we’re thrilled to invite all PRFN members to our next event: Contractor Presentations for PRFN Members on Wednesday, November 20th and Thursday, November 21st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Join us at the PRFN Multiplex or online via Zoom to meet contractors, ask questions, and share your thoughts on future partnerships. Dinner will be served at 4:30 p.m., with great door prizes available for those attending in person!

We’re excited about the possibilities ahead and look forward to building a brighter, more resilient future together. Stay tuned for more updates and ways to get involved!
