PRFN Health & Safety Alert: Toxic Drug Alert for Dawson Creek

Northern Health has issued an urgent Toxic Drug Alert for Dawson Creek. A bright pink pill being sold as fentanyl has been linked to sudden overdoses requiring naloxone and/or hospitalization. Overdoses have occurred when the substance is taken orally, inhaled, or injected.

Please use extreme caution. If you or someone you know uses substances:
✅ Never use alone—have someone nearby with naloxone
✅ Go slow—use a small amount first
✅ Carry naloxone and know how to use it
✅ Get help immediately if you suspect an overdose
